As part of supporting scientific research, adopting modern technologies, and keeping pace with technological advancements in scientific disciplines, the E-Learning Unit at the Center for Education Strategy Development and Research, Ain Shams University is pleased to announce the launch of the Virtual Microscope Unit services and the digital platform for virtual slides, in support of scientific research and postgraduate students.

Research Benefits of the Virtual Microscope:

Full slide scanning at all available magnifications using a manual microscope scanner (4x, 10x, 40x, oil immersion).

The ability to share slides for review and consultation, with access across different devices.

The use of measurement tools (lengths and areas), along with adding annotations and explanatory data on slides.

Displaying virtual slides in scientific conferences and seminars.

Long-term storage of slides and stains, with the ability to retrieve and analyze them at any time.

Service Fees for Slide Scanning (including a copy of the slide and an active sharing link on the platform for 6 months):

Within the university (postgraduate students, researchers, faculty members):
EGP 25 per slide

Researchers from outside the university:
EGP 100 per slide

Payment Method: Fees are paid through the electronic payment system (UMS) via the center services page (select “Journal of Education and Innovation Research” service category, then choose the microscope service for inside or outside the university). After payment, please send an email with the payment receipt to the contact email.

Note: Proof of affiliation with Ain Shams University will be required for university members.
