The Vice President of Ain Shams University for Education and Student Affairs Receives the Advisor to the Director of the Military Academy Prior to His Meeting with the Faculty of Business Students to Reveal Details of the “Digital Pioneers (Digilians)” Initiative

Prof. Rami Maher Ghali, Vice President of Ain Shams University for Education and Student Affairs, received Major General Dr. Shadi El-Gohary, Advisor to the Director of the Egyptian Military Academy for Academic Affairs and Innovation, and Prof. Rania El-Gohary, Professor of Artificial Intelligence at the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences at Ain Shams University and Academic Director of the Intensive Diploma at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology. This meeting took place prior to their meeting with final-year students at the Faculty of Business to reveal details of joining the pioneering presidential initiativeDigital Pioneers (Digilians),” which is held under the auspices of His Excellency the President of the Republic in cooperation between the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and the Egyptian Military Academy. They also discussed the academic programs at the Egyptian Military Academy and how to enroll in them after graduation.

The meeting was attended by Prof. Farid Moharram, Dean of the Faculty of Business.

         
   
         

During the meeting, Prof. Rami Maher Ghali, Vice President of Ain Shams University for Education and Student Affairs, emphasized the university’s commitment to providing opportunities that contribute to preparing its students for the demands of the job market, particularly in the fields of digital transformation and modern technology. He pointed out that leading national initiatives, most notably the presidential initiative “Digital Pioneers (Digital Pioneers),” represent an important opportunity for final-year students to acquire advanced skills in technology and artificial intelligence, thus enhancing their competitiveness and supporting their academic and professional careers. He also commended the cooperation with national entities and specialized experts in transferring knowledge and expertise to university students.

For his part, Major General Dr. Shady El-Gohary expressed his appreciation to the leadership of Ain Shams University, emphasizing his delight that the first meeting to introduce the initiative was held at this prestigious university, which boasts a distinguished academic history and presents a pioneering model in higher education.

During his meeting with students of the Faculty of Business, in the presence of Prof. Farid Moharram, Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Mohamed Shaheen, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Mohamed Morsi, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, Major General Dr. Shady El-Gohary noted that Ain Shams University students are fortunate to belong to this great academic institution, under the guidance of distinguished academic leaders with exceptional scientific, practical, and life experiences who contribute to preparing generations capable of facing the challenges of the future.

He added that Egypt has witnessed a significant leap forward in various fields in recent years, most notably digital transformation, which has become an integral part of our daily lives and a top priority for the state and its political leadership.

         
   
         

He explained that the initiatives of His Excellency the President of the Republic in the field of information technology and digital transformation represent a crucial step towards building the Egyptian individual scientifically, in leadership, and in life, thus contributing to the development of qualified personnel capable of leading the future and actively participating in the comprehensive development process.

During the meeting, His Excellency reviewed the mechanisms and procedures for participating in the “Digital Pioneers (Digital Leaders)” initiative, a fully funded scholarship program. He explained that the initiative is not limited to students of the Faculties of Engineering and Computer and Information Sciences, but also offers opportunities for students from several other faculties, including the Faculty of Business. He also noted that some available tracks do not require a university degree.

He further explained the initiative’s tracks, target groups, and the number of study hours for each track. He presented the programs suitable for students of the Faculty of Business and the application requirements for the initiative. He pointed out that the initiative collaborates with several international universities and that memoranda of understanding have been signed with representatives of approximately 30 leading companies in the communications and information technology sectors, both local and international, with the aim of supporting practical training for students and providing excellent employment opportunities for graduates.

For his part, Prof. Farid Muharram, Dean of the Faculty of Business at Ain Shams University, affirmed the faculty’s commitment to the continuous development of curricula and study programs to keep pace with the demands of the times and the rapid transformations in the labor market.

         
   
         

He emphasized that digital life has become an undeniable reality, requiring students to dedicate time and effort to acquiring the necessary skills and knowledge to utilize modern technology. He urged students to focus on developing their academic and practical abilities and to take advantage of the initiatives and training opportunities offered by the university, which contribute to preparing graduates who are academically, professionally, and ethically qualified and capable of keeping pace with the digital revolution.

Prof. Rania El-Gohary explained that promising opportunities await students in light of the initiatives launched by the state under the directives of the political leadership to support and empower young people. She noted that Ain Shams University students have consistently demonstrated their excellence and ability to capitalize on such opportunities.

She added that the pioneering presidential initiative, “Digital Pioneers (Digiliars),” is a unique experience compared to other initiatives offered by the Ministry of Communications. It represents a comprehensive life experience for students and is the first presidential initiative implemented in collaboration between the Ministry and the Egyptian Military Academy, providing students with a holistic educational and training experience.

She noted that the initiative is offered as a full state scholarship, and final-year students and graduates can apply to any of the available tracks, which require full-time study. First-year students can enroll in several other initiatives offered by the Ministry.

She emphasized that the initiative is an intensive training program that combines cutting-edge technologies with the development of leadership, life, and management skills, as well as freelance work skills, English language proficiency, and teamwork. The goal is to graduate qualified individuals capable of implementing Egypt’s Digital Vision 2030 and meeting the demands of the local and global job market.

It is worth noting that the meeting’s activities were not limited to presenting the presidential initiative, but also included important announcements from the Egyptian Military Academy directly relevant to faculty students. These included the announcement of specialized training programs offered by the Military Academy to graduates of faculties of Business, opening up excellent career prospects for them after graduation.

Details of the 6th International Telecommunications Conference (ITC-Egypt 2026), organized by the Egyptian Military Academy, were also revealed, along with a review of the mechanisms for student and faculty staff participation in its activities, which will enhance the role of scientific research and innovation within the university community.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Prof. Farid Muharram presented the Faculty of Business shield to Major General Dr. Shadi Al-Gohary in appreciation of his efforts and role in supporting joint cooperation and enhancing opportunities for students to prepare for the demands of the digital job market.
