Under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Prof. Farid Moharram El Garhy, Dean of the Faculty of Business, and within the framework of promoting environmental sustainability and supporting social responsibility, the Faculty of Business at Ain Shams University, in cooperation with the Hayah Karima Foundation, is organizing an awareness campaign entitled “Collecting and Recycling Electronic Waste”, within the framework of the national initiative “One Circle”, which aims to support the transition towards a circular economy in the information technology and electronics sector.
The campaign will run from February 9 to 18, 2026, and aims to raise awareness about how to collect and dispose of electronic waste in environmentally friendly ways, and to raise community awareness about the importance of recycling and the environmental risks resulting from the unsafe disposal of this waste.
The campaign is overseen and coordinated by Prof Mohamed Morsi, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Business for Community Service and Environmental Development; Prof. Gihan Ragab, Advisor to the Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development; and Dr. Marwa Fakhry, CEO of the Hayah Karima Foundation.
The Faculty of Business invites all its students, faculty staff, and university staff to actively participate in the campaign and benefit from its services, in order to support building a more sustainable future and serving the goals of the National Circular Economy Initiative.
