Prof. Rami Maher Ghali, Vice President of Ain Shams University for Education and Student Affairs, received Counselor Riyad Al-Najada, Deputy Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, in the presence of Prof. Dina Lashin, Director of the International Students Office at the University, and Mr. Ibrahim Saeed Hamza, Assistant Secretary of the University for Education and Student Affairs.

During the meeting, they discussed the situation of Jordanian students studying at Ain Shams University and ways to support them in order to provide a comprehensive and stimulating educational environment for international students.

Prof. Rami Maher Ghali emphasized the deep historical and fraternal relations that unite the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, noting Ain Shams University’s keenness to provide all aspects of support and care to international students of various nationalities, and to work to overcome any obstacles that they may face.

His Excellency explained that the university pays special attention to the issue of international students, as an independent department has been allocated to deal with their affairs, and an academic advisor and coordinators have been appointed in the colleges to facilitate communication and academic follow-up, in addition to developing the system of accounts and financial procedures to ensure speed of completion and facilitate transactions.

The university is also keen to provide them with the necessary guidance and academic support throughout their studies, and to integrate them into student, cultural, artistic and sports activities, which enhances their university experience and strengthens the bonds of communication between them and their peers from the university.

For his part, Counselor Riad Al-Najada expressed his appreciation for the warm welcome, and congratulated Prof. Rami Maher Ghali on assuming his new position, stressing the depth of the good relations that unite the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the prestigious Ain Shams University, and the keenness of both sides to continue and enhance aspects of joint cooperation during the next stage.
