Ain Shams University organizes a field trip for its students to El Arish to promote national awareness

The Education and Students Sector at Ain Shams University, in cooperation with the leadership of the Popular and Military Defense Forces, and with the implementation of the General Administration for Youth Welfare and the Military Education Department at the university, organized the first field visits for Ain Shams University students to the city of Arish, within the framework of the directives of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to enhance national awareness among young people and develop their connection to the huge development efforts taking place in Sinai.

         
   
         

The visit was held under the auspices of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Rami Maher Ghali, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs. It was organized by Colonel Abu El Hassan Abdel Monsef Abu El Hassan, Director of the Military Education Department, and coordinated and supervised by Mr. Ibrahim Saeed Hamza, Assistant Secretary of the University for Education and Student Affairs.

The visit comes within the framework of the Education and Students Sector’s plan to organize a series of field visits to the Sinai Peninsula for university students, in implementation of the political leadership’s directives to provide young people with the opportunity to visit development areas in Sinai and to see the scale of achievements that the state is witnessing in various parts of the country, with the aim of enhancing their national awareness and linking them to the efforts made to achieve comprehensive development on the land of Sinai, in cooperation with the leadership of the Popular and Military Defense Forces.

         
   
         

The program included several field visits to national and development projects in El Arish, with detailed briefings on the development and service projects implemented in the governorate in recent years. A visit was made to the El Arish seawater desalination plant, a key national project providing fresh water to the city after treatment and desalination using state-of-the-art technology.

The delegation also visited Battalion 101 of the Second Field Army Command, a prominent Egyptian military site that has played a pivotal role in counterterrorism efforts and the restoration of security and stability in North Sinai. It is a strategically important command post.

         
   
         

A visit was made to El Arish Port, one of Egypt's most important ports on the Mediterranean, which has witnessed remarkable development in its services and plays a vital role in supporting trade and development in North Sinai Governorate.

The Egyptian Red Crescent – ​​El Arish Branch also visited, a comprehensive humanitarian and relief center providing various services to Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, and considered a model of high-quality community and humanitarian work.

The program also included an overnight stay for the student delegation at El Arish University's student housing complex, reflecting the fruitful cooperation between Egyptian universities and the integration of roles in supporting student activities.

At the end of the visit, the delegation toured one of El Arish's beaches in the morning, in an atmosphere brimming with energy and enthusiasm.

The Ain Shams University students participating in the visit expressed their happiness and pride at having the opportunity to visit El Arish and learn firsthand about the scale of the development projects underway in North Sinai. They emphasized that the visit contributed to strengthening their sense of belonging and their awareness of the efforts being made across the country to achieve development and stability.
