Under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, the “Students of Determination” team of Ain Shams University participated in the University Sports Meet for Students of Determination, organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports from 20 to 23 November. The competitions included goalball, table tennis, weightlifting, and track and field events.

The university’s participation was under the general supervision of Mr. Ibrahim Saeed Hamza, Assistant Secretary of the University for Education and Student Affairs, with oversight by Ms. Asmaa Khater, Director General of the General Administration for Student Welfare, Mr. Mohamed Hassan, Director of the Sports Activities Department, and the sports activities team, with execution handled by the Sports Activities Department at the General Administration for Student Welfare.

The competitions took place at the Youth City in Abu Qir and the facilities of the Faculty of Physical Education in Alexandria, with the participation of more than 700 students from 25 universities. The results were as follows:

Goalball:

Ain Shams University won 1st place trophy and gold medal

Weightlifting:

3 gold medals

1 bronze medal

Track and Field Events:

4 gold medals

2 silver medals

2 bronze medals

Table Tennis:

2 bronze medals

Total Medals:

8 gold medals

2 silver medals

5 bronze medals
