Under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedne, President of Ain Shams University, and the supervision of the International Relations and Academic Cooperation Sector, headed by Prof. Sherweit El-Ahmady, who manages the European Union Erasmus+ exchange program, the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences at Ain Shams University welcomed a delegation from Berlin University of Technology. The delegation included Ms. Ina Hohenhaus and Ms. Nelly Salzman from the university’s International Affairs Department, during their visit to Ain Shams University to strengthen scientific and academic exchange.

The delegation was received by Prof. Rasha Ismail, Dean of the Faculty; Prof. Hala Mosheer, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs; Prof. Shereen Rady, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Affairs; Prof. Dr. Howida Shadeed, Head of the Department of Scientific Computing; Prof. Safaa Amin, Coordinator of the International Software Engineering Program; and Dr. Mona Abdel Azim, Coordinator of the Faculty’s Grants and Projects Office. They warmly welcomed the guests and discussed potential areas of collaboration between the two universities, paving the way for new opportunities in education, research, and innovation.
The event was also attended by a delegation from Ain Shams University’s Grants and Projects Office, represented by Dr. Noha El-Rafai, Ain Shams University Coordinator for the Erasmus+ European Exchange Program and Deputy Director of the Grants and Projects Office at the International Relations and Academic Cooperation Sector, along with Dr. Aziz Shaker, Deputy Program Coordinator and Head of the Project Monitoring Department. Productive discussions were held regarding mechanisms for collaboration on joint research projects and international grants between the two universities.

During the meeting, several proposals were discussed to support the exchange of expertise between faculty members and teaching staff of both institutions. The session also included a presentation highlighting the support provided by the Grants and Projects Office, attended by faculty members, undergraduate students, and postgraduate students.
In conclusion, the Dean emphasized the faculty’s commitment to ongoing collaboration with prestigious international universities, contributing to Ain Shams University’s vision for academic excellence and research leadership at both national and international levels.
