The Graduation Ceremony of the 26th Class of the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences

Under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences celebrated the graduation of its 26th class.

         
   
         

The ceremony was inaugurated by Prof. Rasha Ismail, the Dean of the Faculty, in the presence of Prof. Yasser ElKady, former Minister of Communications and Information Technology; Eng. Mahmoud Badawy, Assistant Minister of Communications and Information Technology for Digital Transformation Affairs; Prof. Essam Khalifa, Chairman of the Computers and Informatics Sector Committee at the Supreme Council of Universities and former Dean of the Faculty; Prof. Mohamed Roshdy, Rapporteur of the Scientific Committee for Reviewing Academic Production for Professorship and Associate Professorship in Computer and Information Sciences at the Supreme Council of Universities; Prof. Ahmed Mohamed Hamad, President of the University of Informatics; Prof. Tarek Gharib, Dean of the Faculty of Computers at Ahram Canadian University; Prof. Hala Mosheer, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs; Prof. Shereen Rady, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development; along with the heads of departments, coordinators of international programs, members of the Faculty Council, faculty staff, teaching assistants, and the students’ families.

         
   
         
         
   
         

In her speech, Prof. Rasha Ismail congratulated the students and their families on this special day, celebrating the fruit of many years of hard work and success in overcoming challenges with strength and determination. She added that graduation marks not only the end of an academic journey but also the beginning of a new professional chapter, one where the future is shaped in a rapidly changing world driven by technology and knowledge.

         
   
         
         
   
         

She addressed the graduates, encouraging them to take pride in graduating from a faculty that enjoys a prestigious reputation locally, regionally, and internationally, and is accredited by the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education. She noted that some of the faculty’s programs hold international accreditation, and the university itself is institutionally accredited, which distinguishes its graduates from their peers. Prof. Rasha emphasized the importance of living up to this trust and representing their faculty and university as worthy ambassadors in a labor market that welcomes them.

She also expressed her delight at the graduation of the first class of the Robotics Computing double-degree program, highlighting the excellence of the faculty’s ten programs, including four core programs and six distinguished ones: Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, Digital Multimedia, Bioinformatics, and the newest addition, Robotics Computing.

         
   
         

Prof. Rasha Ismail extended her sincere gratitude to the previous administration of the faculty, especially to Prof. Nagwa Badr, former Dean, for her remarkable efforts and valuable contributions to the advancement of the faculty, as well as to all faculty staff and administrative staff for their continuous dedication and hard work.

Dr. Arish Siddiqui, Director of International Relations at the University of East London, delivered a recorded video message in which he expressed his great joy in sharing with the graduates and their families the happiness of this special day, a day that crowns years of dedication, hard work, and academic excellence.

         
   
         

Dr. Siddiqui conveyed the congratulations of Prof. Hassan Abdullah, President of the University of East London, and Prof. Paul Marshall, Vice President of the University, to the graduates and faculty members, wishing them continued progress and prosperity.

In his motivational message to the graduates, Dr. Siddiqui emphasized that the path to success is paved only with determination and hard work, noting that moments of achievement and distinction always come after effort and perseverance. He wished the graduates a promising future filled with accomplishment and leadership.

Dr. Arish Siddiqui concluded his address by praising the distinguished academic partnership between the University of East London and Ain Shams University, affirming that the fruitful cooperation between the two institutions greatly enriches the educational process and enhances the exchange of expertise for the benefit of students and the academic community.

During his speech, Eng. Mahmoud Badawy, Advisor to the Minister of Communications and Information Technology for Digital Transformation and an alumnus of the faculty (Class of 2005), congratulated the graduates and advised them to embrace continuous learning and innovation to keep pace with rapid technological change. He emphasized that the labor market is in strong need of computer science graduates, as demand far exceeds supply, presenting them with great opportunities to build successful futures.

Prof. Essam Khalifa, Chairman of the Computers and Informatics Sector Committee at the Supreme Council of Universities, praised the graduates for their active participation in numerous events and assured them that preparations are currently underway to establish a professional syndicate for graduates of Faculties of Computers and Information soon.

Meanwhile, Prof. Mohamed Roshdy, Rapporteur of the Scientific Committee at the Supreme Council of Universities, commended the faculty’s students and graduates for their consistent participation over the years in both national and international programming competitions, where they have always achieved top rankings, a clear testament to their excellence.

Eng. Haitham Harras, CEO of Penta-B, also delivered an inspiring speech in which he shared his own success story as one of the faculty’s distinguished alumni.

The celebration included speeches by representatives of the graduating class, the honoring of top graduates and recipients of master’s and doctoral degrees, as well as the screening of a short film showcasing the journey of the Class of 2025, their unforgettable memories and inspiring success stories. The event concluded with a lively artistic performance by the Harmony Araby Choir, which captivated the audience and added a joyful touch to the memorable occasion.
