The Scientific Journal of Economics at the Faculty of Business ranks fourth among Arab journals according to the 2025 ARCIF report

In a pioneering scientific achievement, the Faculty of Business at Ain Shams University received an official letter from the "Arab Research Citation Index and Impact Factor Initiative" (ARCIF), one of the initiatives under the "Ma’refa" database for scientific production and content. The letter confirmed the inclusion of the Scientific Journal of Economics and Commerce, published by the faculty, in the 10th Annual Journals Report for the year 2025, with the journal achieving fourth place among Arab journals in the fields of economics, finance, and business administration.

The journal’s overall ARCIF impact factor for 2025 was (1.6179), and it attained exceptional results in the report, including:

Ranking 30th among 1,272 accredited Arab scientific journals across all disciplines in the ARCIF index.

Securing 4th place in the interdisciplinary field of economics, finance, and business administration out of 192 Arab journals in this specialization.

Being classified in the first quartile (Q1)—the highest quality category—in its specialization, affirming its leading position among the most prominent specialized scientific journals in economics and business administration across the Arab world.

This achievement reflects the journal’s excellence and the high quality of its scientific outputs, which have undergone rigorous evaluation criteria aligned with international standards. ARCIF reviewed and analyzed data from approximately 5,500 Arab scientific and research journal titles across various disciplines, published by more than 1,500 scientific and research institutions in the Arab world, with only 1,272 journals successfully obtaining accreditation in the 2025 report.

The ARCIF impact factor is supervised by a "Supervisory and Coordination Council" comprising representatives from prestigious Arab and international entities, including the UNESCO Regional Office for Education in Arab States in Beirut, the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA), the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, the Ma’refa database, and a scientific committee of distinguished experts and academics from several Arab countries and the UK.

This accomplishment crowns the continuous efforts exerted by the Faculty of Commerce at Ain Shams University to support rigorous scientific research and publication in prestigious peer-reviewed journals. This advanced ranking reflects great confidence in the scientific content provided by the journal and positions it prominently on the Arab academic map as a trusted and accredited platform for disseminating economic and commercial knowledge.

The Faculty of Business at Ain Shams University extends its sincere thanks and appreciation to the journal’s editorial board, advisory committee, and contributing researchers whose scientific contributions have elevated the journal’s status. The faculty affirms its commitment to continue striving for further excellence and leadership.
