The courtyard of the Faculty of Al-Alsun at Ain Shams University hosted the vibrant events of the Welcome Carnival for new and returning students for the academic year 2025/2026, held under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of the University.
The carnival was officially inaugurated by Prof. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty, accompanied by Prof. Hala Sayed Metwally, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Yomna Safwat, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development.

The Youth Welfare Department of the Faculty organized a scout parade, along with a variety of artistic and entertainment performances. The day's activities began with a flag-raising ceremony and the presentation of national and scouting songs, which stirred feelings of enthusiasm and patriotic spirit among the students.
In her speech, Prof. Salwa Rashad emphasized the importance of regular attendance, with a minimum of 75%, and urged students to follow the faculty's official websites to stay updated with class schedules in accordance with the hybrid learning system, which combines both in-person and online education, aligned with the evolving educational needs of the current phase.
She also affirmed the faculty’s ongoing commitment to providing a comprehensive educational environment that meets international quality standards, while also supporting extracurricular activities that help shape well-rounded university students and enhance their personal and professional skills.

For her part, Prof. Hala Sayed Metwally, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, reiterated the faculty’s dedication to providing all forms of academic and administrative support to students. She stressed that students' interests are at the heart of the faculty’s priorities, and that the faculty is committed to creating a stimulating academic environment that fosters creativity and excellence.
Meanwhile, Prof. Yomna Safwat, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, highlighted the faculty’s efforts to implement a series of community-oriented events aimed at supporting students, developing their skills, and preparing them for active participation in society.
The carnival’s activities also included an art exhibition showcasing the creative works of the faculty’s students, in addition to a variety of games and recreational activities. The events are scheduled to continue over the course of two days.
