Ain Shams University invites its esteemed scholars, including faculty members and researchers who meet the eligibility criteria, to actively apply for the State Awards and Academy Awards for 2025. These awards, announced by the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology, are considered among the highest scientific honors in Egypt, recognizing outstanding scientists and distinguished individuals from across the nation in various fields, as follows:

First: Nile Awards

Number of awards: 2

Value of each award: EGP 500,000, plus a gold medal

Fields: Sciences (basics, agricultural, medical, engineering) and advanced technological sciences

Second: State Appreciation Awards

Number of awards: 10

Value of each award: EGP 200,000, plus a gold medal

Fields: 5 awards for basic, agricultural, medical, and engineering sciences, and 5 awards for advanced technological sciences

Third: State Excellence Awards

Number of awards: 7

Value of each award: EGP 100,000, plus a silver medal

Fields: Basic, agricultural, medical, and engineering sciences, plus 3 awards for advanced technological sciences

Fourth: State Incentive Awards

Number of awards: 40

Value of each award: EGP 50,000

Fields: Sciences and advanced technological sciences in the disciplines of mathematics, physics, chemistry, geology, biology, agriculture, medicine, and engineering

Eligibility: Applicants must not be older than 40 years as of 31 December 2025

Additional Awards:

Pioneers Awards:

Number of awards: 4

Value of each award: EGP 100,000

Fields: Basic, agricultural, medical, and engineering sciences

Eligibility: Awarded to senior scientists with significant creative, scientific, or technological achievements in each field

Women Awards:

Appreciation Awards for Women: 4 awards, EGP 50,000 each, in agriculture, health, water & energy, and social sciences. Candidates must be over 45 years old as of 31 December 2025

Incentive Awards for Women: 4 awards, EGP 30,000 each, in agriculture, health, water & energy, and social sciences. Candidates must not exceed 45 years of age as of 31 December 2025

Important notes:

- The University Awards Office urges faculty staff of the relevant faculties to complete all requirements (for Nile, Appreciation, Excellence, Pioneers, and Women Awards) well in advance to allow for approvals and nominations.

- Nominations must be finalized by the relevant faculties, completed with approvals, and sent to the University General Administration of Scientific Research no later than 18 November 2025.
