The Postgraduate Studies and Research Sector at the Faculty of Al-Alsun, Ain Shams University, announced the extension of admissions for the faculty’s postgraduate programs for the 2025/2026 academic year until August 31, 2025. This comes under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El Abedeen, President of the University; Prof. Amany Osama Kamel, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research; Prof. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty; and under the supervision of Prof. Ashraf Atia, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research.
Prof. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty, explained that admissions will be open for a number of diplomas, including the Postgraduate Diploma in Language, Literature, and Translation, the Diploma in Translation (Written and Interpreting), and the Diploma in Translation Technology across the faculty’s various departments, in addition to doctoral programs in the same specializations.
Prof. Ashraf Atia, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research, further clarified that starting from the Fall 2025 intake, the new postgraduate regulations at the Faculty will be applied, introducing a specialized program in Interpreting (in all its forms) across the three stages: Diploma, Master’s, and PhD.
He also pointed out that the specialization in Translation Technology within the advanced program is considered one of the distinguished programs, designed to meet labor market demands and to equip students with the latest technological tools relevant to translation activities.
Admissions to postgraduate programs are conducted electronically via the UMS system, where applicants must register their data and upload all required certificates and documents through the link: https://ums.asu.edu.eg.
The Faculty’s Postgraduate Studies Administration will then review and verify the documents before notifying applicants of acceptance if all conditions are met.
The written admission exams for diploma and doctoral applicants are scheduled to take place from September 7 to September 10, followed by the oral exams on September 16.
