Based on the announcement from the Secretariat of the Board of Trustees of the King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein Award for Youth Innovation and Achievement regarding the opening of nominations for the twelfth session (2025-2026), Ain Shams University announces an invitation to faculty members who meet the conditions to participate in this prestigious award, which is considered one of the most prominent Arab awards and is granted every two years in support of creativity and excellence in various fields.
Award Fields and Topics for the Current Cycle:
The Board of Trustees of the Award announced the topics proposed for the twelfth cycle, which include three main fields:
• First – The field of Literature and Arts:
"The Arabic Language and Digital Transformations"
Focuses on ways the Arabic language can keep pace with modern technological and digital developments, and its role in preserving identity and building knowledge.
• Second – The field of Science:
"Future Technology in the Development of the Transportation and Energy Sectors"
Addresses scientific innovations and future technologies that contribute to the development of these two vital sectors.
• Third – The field of the Arab City:
"The Arab City between Authenticity and Modernity"
Explores the balance between preserving heritage and traditions and the requirements of modernization and urban development in Arab cities.
Nomination and participation requirements:
• Submit five copies of the nominated work to the award headquarters: Greater Amman Municipality - Al Hussein Cultural Center
• The work must not have previously won any award (local, Arab, or international)
• A pledge must be signed by the applicant
• The work must be published, explained, or translated into Arabic
• The applicant must be a citizen of an Arab country
• Nominations must be made through an academic institution or relevant organization
• Works will not be returned to their owners, with the exception of artistic works
Award Value and Components
The award is awarded to each winner in each of the three categories:
• A cash prize of $25,000
• A certificate bearing the winner's name and the title of the winning work
• A gold medallion bearing the image of His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein
Ain Shams University invites eligible faculty staff to quickly prepare the required documents and nominate themselves for the award, in support of opportunities for academic and creative excellence at the Arab level.
