Under the auspices of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, chaired the first meeting to discuss the project to establish a Francophonie Center at Ain Shams University (Centre Universitaire de la francophonie), in the presence of a group of faculty staff from across the university's faculties.

Prof. Ghada Farouk highlighted the importance of establishing a university center for Francophonie at Ain Shams University, with the goal of supporting academic and development cooperation at Ain Shams University to enhance scientific research and cultural exchange with French-speaking countries. This will support opportunities for international cooperation, classification, educational development, and the promotion of a culture of diversity, all through French-speaking faculty staff and students.

The center also aims to encourage students and professors and facilitate their integration into the global labor market, in addition to supporting joint cooperation and linking university centers and cultural institutions inside and outside the region, and supporting development through the establishment of joint projects for research, education, and innovation in Francophonie.

The workshop identified working groups to include the Database Committee, the Marketing Committee, the Strategic Development Committee, and the Friends of the Center's Researchers and Students Club. The working groups reviewed proposed tasks, the implementation plan, and proposed a work structure for the center to support and enhance its role.
On the sidelines of the meeting, a workshop was held to discuss the possibility of holding courses, competitions, and seminars to promote cultural and linguistic dialogue between Egypt, France, and French-speaking countries.
