The annual scientific conference of the Department of Biochemistry, at the Faculty of Pharmacy, at Ain Shams University, for the academic year 2024-2025 was held under the title: "Refuel Passion for Science Today's Ideas, Tomorrow's Achievements."

The conference was sponsored by Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of the University, and Prof. Rehab Osman Ahmed, Acting Dean of the Faculty, under the supervision of Prof. Dina Hamada Qassim, Acting Head of the Department, and organized by the Scientific Committee headed by Prof. Iman Fouad Sand, Assistant Professor of Biochemistry.

The conference featured a detailed presentation of the department's achievements during the academic year by Dr. Dina Hamada, followed by a rich lecture by Prof. Mohamed Mustafa Kamal, Professor of Biochemistry, addressing the scientific research journey and the challenges facing researchers.

Dr. Mina Saad Wadih and Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Mustafa, instructors in the Department of Biochemistry, also delivered valuable scientific lectures that added a distinct intellectual dimension to the conference.

In recognition of academic excellence, the department honored students who achieved the highest grades in its various courses.

The conference also provided an opportunity for a number of postgraduate students to present their research projects (Master's and PhD) through short presentations. The event concluded with a competition to select the best presentation, with the winner honored and awarded a cash prize.

The conference reflected a spirit of collaboration and innovation, highlighting the importance of supporting young researchers and encouraging academic excellence within the department.
