Ain Shams University actively participates in the first festival of folk arts of the Greater Cairo Universities Alliance

As part of the events of the First Folk Arts Festival of the Greater Cairo Universities Alliance, organized by Benha University, Ain Shams University had a notable presence and active participation. Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, took part in the festival's opening ceremony, which was attended by the presidents of the Greater Cairo Region universities: Prof. Nasser El Gizawy, President of Benha University; Prof. Mohamed Sami Abdel Sadek, President of Cairo University; and Prof. El-Sayed Kandil, President of Helwan University, in addition to senior officials from the Supreme Council of Universities and prominent figures from the arts and cultural spheres.

Ain Shams University's Folk Arts Troupe presented a performance that was met with great admiration from the audience, showcasing diverse aspects of Egypt's rich folk heritage from various governorates. The artistic scenes presented by Ain Shams University students reflected the depth and authenticity of Egyptian folk arts, thereby contributing to the festival’s overarching goal of preserving national identity and cultural heritage.

In his remarks, Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen emphasized the university’s strong commitment to participating in all activities that enrich student life and promote awareness of national heritage and identity. He praised Benha University for its efforts in organizing this important festival, which united regional universities under the banner of art and heritage.

Prof. Nasser El Gizawy, President of Benha University, commended the outstanding performances of all participating troupes, including that of Ain Shams University. He highlighted the importance of such festivals in promoting student activities and increasing youth awareness of Egypt’s authentic heritage.

Ain Shams University’s participation was organized under the administrative supervision of Mr. Ibrahim Saeed Hamza, Assistant Secretary of the University for the Education and Student Affairs Sector, Artistic Activities Department, General Administration for Youth Welfare.
