As part of Ain Shams University's commitment to supporting academic excellence and encouraging faculty staff, the University Awards Committee held a meeting chaired by Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of the University, to present the results of the 2024 University Awards.

The meeting was attended by Prof. Amani Osama Kamel, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, and Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, along with the General Supervisor of the University Awards Office, the deans of the faculties, the Assistant Secretary of the University for Graduate Studies and Research, and the Director of the General Administration of Scientific Research.

The meeting discussed the final evaluation results of the proposed awards, which varied between the University Appreciation Award, which includes 17 awards distributed across 8 different fields, each worth 100,000 Egyptian pounds; the University Pioneers Award, which includes 6 awards across 6 fields, each worth 70,000 Egyptian pounds; the University Appreciation Award for Women, which is awarded in 4 fields, each worth 30,000 Egyptian pounds; and the University Incentive Award, which is awarded in 5 fields, with a total of 10 awards, each worth 25,000 Egyptian pounds.

Approximately 80 faculty staff and teaching assistants from all faculties of the university applied for these awards this year, meeting the announced eligibility requirements during the application period, which extended from October 1 to December 31, 2024.

The committee approved the results of the judging panels, which included five specialized judges for each award. The evaluation envelopes were opened, and the committee presented the final results and submitted recommendations to the University Council for final approval.

This meeting falls within the framework of Ain Shams University's mission to promote academic and research excellence and honor its pioneering scholars and creative professors in various fields, thus contributing to strengthening the university's position locally and internationally.
