Tomorrow, the Adult Education and Empowerment of People with Special Needs Conference will be held at Ain Shams University
On The International Literacy Day, the Adult Education Center at Ain Shams University is organizing a conference entitled "Adult Education and Empowerment of People with Special Needs" tomorrow, Saturday, September 6, 2025. The conference will be held online from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM Cairo time.
The conference will be held under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, and chaired by Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and supervised by Dr. Islam El-Saeed, Director of the Adult Education Center and Conference Rapporteur.
The event will feature a select group of academics, researchers, and specialists in adult education and disability issues, along with representatives of NGOs and civil society organizations concerned with people with special needs. The aim is to discuss the best ways to provide integrated educational services for this segment.
The sessions will address several key themes, most notably: the rights of adults with disabilities in education and learning, the empowerment of adults with disabilities and marginalized groups within the Marrakesh Framework, and institutional integration in serving people with special needs.
The conference comes within the framework of Ain Shams University's commitment to enhancing its role in serving the community, developing the environment, and supporting the most vulnerable groups by providing a platform for dialogue and exchange of experiences, leading to practical recommendations and solutions that contribute to the integration and empowerment of people with special needs, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals and Egypt's Vision 2030.
