The Quality Assurance Unit at the Faculty of Al-Alsun launches a series of workshops to develop its strategic plan 2024-2029

As part of the Faculty of Al-Alsun’s preparation for its new strategic plan 2024-2029, the Faculty’s Quality Assurance Unit, under the sponsorship and in the presence of Prof. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty, held a workshop for faculty staff and the teaching assistants on April 15, 2024 in the conference hall to spread awareness of the importance of strategic planning and participation in the Faculty’s four-way environmental analysis, where approximately 60 faculty members and supporting staff attended.

Where Prof. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty, talked about what the Faculty of Al-Alsun has achieved from the priorities of its previous strategic plan at the level of developing programs and courses and linking them to the requirements of the labor market, programmatic accreditation, developing the Faculty’s infrastructure, digital transformation of the Faculty’s services, and paying attention to innovation and entrepreneurship within the framework of achieving Ain Shams University’s vision and mission and Egypt’s Vision 2030. Prof. Hend Asaad, Director of the Quality Assurance Unit at the Faculty, reviewed the stages of preparing the strategic plan, its components, and the level of participation in the four-way environmental analysis questionnaires.

This workshop comes within a series of activities organized by the Quality Assurance Unit and its subcommittees to prepare for the new strategic plan. A meeting was organized on January 28, 2024, with representatives from the Student Union to seek their opinions on the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats, and to prepare introductory videos for students via the Media Center, in addition to conducting A series of community dialogues with employers on the sidelines of Employment Day on December 19, 2023, and with faculty members and their assistants in the various Faculty departments on February 20, 21, and 28, 2024.

The Quality Assurance Unit also organized a workshop on February 25, 2024, in the interpretation hall with members of the Faculty’s administrative staff to raise awareness of the stages of preparing the strategic plan and the importance of participating in the SWOT environmental analysis questionnaires and to discuss their proposals regarding strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats.
