The President of Ain Shams University witnesses the graduation ceremony of the Faculty of Medicine Class 2022

The Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University, celebrated the graduation of a new batch of its doctors, who represent a distinguished addition to the Egyptian medical sector of qualified cadres to work and give to serve their country and society, under the sponsorship and presence of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zein El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Ali Al-Anwar, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the Board of Directors of University Hospitals, Prof. Osama Abdel-Hay, Head of the Doctors Syndicate, Prof. Mahmoud El-Meteini, former president of Ain Shams University, Prof. Osama Mansour, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Rania Salah, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Hala Sweed, Vice Dean of the Fcaulty for Community Service and Environmental Development.

         
   
         

In his speech, Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of the University, extended his sincere congratulations to the parents of the graduates, as they are the happiest at this moment, thanking them for the effort they have made to support their children during their studies.

His Excellency also offered a tribute of appreciation and respect to the faculty members for their role in preparing distinguished medical cadres, praising the role of Ain Shams University Hospitals in the healthcare system in Egypt, which was clearly evident in the Corona crisis.

His Excellency also addressed the graduates, during which he stressed that obtaining a bachelor’s degree is the beginning of a doctor capable of practicing the profession, but learning in the medical field continues in light of a lofty message that requires a different effort in continuous self-development, in addition to a humanitarian aspect that must be taken into account to alleviate the pain and suffering of patients.

He concluded his speech by emphasizing that graduation ceremonies give positive energy and greater motivation to create the conditions to provide distinguished educational service to university students.

         
   
         

As Prof. Osama Abdel-Hay expressed his happiness and pride in being at Ain Shams University and greeted the attendees, and praised the role of Ain Shams University doctors who achieved distinguished medical service during the Corona period in Egypt, which played a great role in confronting the crisis. He called on the students to be proud of their affiliation to Ain Shams University and Demerdash Hospital, and advised the new doctors, guided by the words of Hippocrates, “Love of the medical profession is from love of humanity.” Medicine is inherent to humanity and is a profession that has a great reward with God.

He also stressed the necessity of continuing to study while practicing medicine and following up on everything new.

In his speech, Dr. Ali Al-Anwar welcomed the graduates to the end of a stage full of challenges in which they were up to the responsibility and were able to cross it successfully, indicating that today is the beginning of a new stage that requires them to exert more effort and believe in the importance of their work.

He advised the graduates that there are successful doctors and unsuccessful ones, and the path to success is easy, but it requires effort and continuity in learning, training, and self-development.

He also called on the graduates to stand in appreciation and reverence for their families and teachers who spared no effort in educating them to reach this day and will continue to train and qualify them during the coming period.

         
   
         

Prof. Mahmoud El-Metini, former university president, thanked the students in advance to the students’ families and faculty members for the efforts they made during their studies until their efforts were crowned today with the success of their children. He also advised the new doctors to follow firm, planned steps to begin the path to the profession, and they are proud of their affiliation to the Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University, which was established. 75 years ago before the establishment of Ain Shams University, Demerdash Hospitals were established in 1928, and actually began operating in 1932, and have nearly crossed the century mark in providing medical service to the community.

Students were also urged to feel belonging to and appreciate the value of the institutions in which they will work; He explained that the study of medicine is a study of the divine truth, and he recommended that graduates cooperate and work in a team spirit, learn how to tolerate, the art of difference, communication skills, partnerships, and work together in light of the rapid changes in medical science, in addition to working jointly and developing a treatment plan in which similar specializations participate in order to reach the patient with the best possible treatment. Providing joint scientific research during practice and benefiting from the experiences of others.
