The closing session of the music and choral self-sufficiency competition at Ain Shams University

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and the supervision of Prof. Dr. Tamer Rady, Advisor to the Vice President for Student Activities, the activities of the music and choral self-sufficiency competition concluded, in which the various faculties of the university participated.

Where the faculties of Arts, Law, Business, Engineering, Education, Al-Alsun, Girls, Computer and Information Sciences, and Science participated in the field of group singing, while in the field of solo playing and singing, the Faculties of Pharmacy and Agriculture participated, and the Faculty of Engineering also participated in the field of group playing.

The competition activities lasted for 10 days on the stage of the Faculty of Girls, and the jury was formed from a group of professors specialized in the field of music and singing, namely: Prof. Dr. Salwa Hassan, Professor of Music and Singing at the Higher Institute of the Conservatoire, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Kader, Professor of Singing, Faculty of Music Education, Prof. Dr. Osama Ali Mohamed, Professor, Department of Music Sciences, Faculty of Music Education.

   
   

In a ceremony held on the stage of the Faculty of Girls, the jury announced the results of the competition, which came as follows:

In the group singing competition

The Faculty of Law won first place

The Faculty of Arts won second place

The Faculty of Business won second place, repeated

The Faculty of Al-Alsun won the third place

The Faculty of Engineering won third place, repeated

The result of the solo singing was as follows:

The student Salma Hesham - Faculty of Arts won the first place

The student Yousr Mohamed - Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences won the second place

The student, Kyrillos Safwat - Faculty of Pharmacy, won the second place, repeated

The student Ziad Mohamed - Faculty of Engineering won the third place

The student Youssef Essam - Faculty of Law won the third place, repeated

The result of the solo performance was as follows:

The student, Mostafa Sherif, - Faculty of Pharmacy, won first place

The student, Maria Sharif - Faculty of Engineering, won the second place

The student, Mohamed Al-Saeed - Faculty of Engineering, won the third place

The student, Maged Nagy - Faculty of Engineering, won the third place, repeated

The competition was held under the supervision of Mr. Muhammad Al-Sharkawy, Director General of the General Administration of Youth Welfare and the supervision and organization of the Artistic Activity Department at the university and the Higher Technical Committee of the Students’ Union represented by Mr. Mustafa Essa, Director of the Department, Ms. Hind Hamed, Head of the Performing Arts Department, and Prof. Ahmed Adel, Mr. Abdel-Fadil Kamal, supervisors in the administration, and student Menna Nasrat, Secretary of the Higher Technical Committee, representing the University Students Union.
