Ain Shams University launches a comprehensive awareness campaign against the Corona virus

Prof. Dr. Abdel-Fattah Saud, Vice President of Ain Shams University for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research Affairs, met with Prof. Dr. Taya Abdel-Latif, Advisor to the Minister of Higher Education for Student Activities, Prof. Dr. Samia Abdo, Deputy Director of University Hospitals and Prof. Dr. Tamer Professor Rady at the Faculty of Commerce and Prof. Dr. Heba Shaheen, Head of the Media Department at the Faculty of Arts and Director of the Media Center at the University, and Dr. Ghada Abu Al-Khair, Director General of the General Department of Public Relations and Media at the University, in order to develop a precautionary plan to confront the second wave of Corona virus, in implementation of the directives of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University.

The plan includes launching an awareness campaign on campus in cooperation with several bodies, including the Supreme Council for Culture and the Cairo Opera House under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of the University, who stressed in previous statements the need to adhere to all precautionary measures to prevent the risk of infection with the emerging corona virus "Covid-19", stressing that the university has prepared many measures to face any danger that may occur during the school year in light of the continuing spread of the virus.

Prof. Dr. Abdel-Fattah Saud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, said in his speech during the meeting that it is necessary to live with the emerging corona virus and confront it through educating students, adding that the comprehensive awareness campaign that the university will launch will include students and workers and through it live experiences from society will be exposed. University for those who were infected with the virus and recovered, and the extent of their suffering to reach recovery.

He added that the university will hold small competitions and symbolic prizes for students and participants and distribute T-shirts printed with the campaign slogan.

Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President of Ain Shams University for Graduate Studies and Research, stressed the need to adhere to the precautionary measures on campus, adding that the cloth muzzle is suitable for open spaces and streets and that the state has provided it on a large scale, explaining that the university is working to motivate students to adhere to the precautionary measures. During the organization of a competition on the sidelines of the awareness campaign to choose the best faculty to receive the new academic year.

He added that the university pays great attention to the sector of graduate studies and international publishing so that the university can achieve an advanced international classification commensurate with its great scientific standing, stressing that the university is in the process of holding a publishing competition entitled Research Marketing for Marketing of the courses available at the university, which allows the researcher to review international research services.

Prof. Dr. Samia Abdo, Deputy Director of University Hospitals, added that awareness campaigns were organized inside the university, for students and employees, through the infection control team in the hospitals of the College of Medicine, noting that awareness leaflets were distributed to students and employees about the virus and how to avoid infection with it.

Dr. Ghada Abu Al-Khair, Director General of the General Department of Public Relations and Media stated that the university's public relations team will participate in the awareness campaign organized by the university to limit the spread of the new Corona virus, stressing that work on the ground inside the campus has more impact on students' awareness than the campaigns spread across Social media.
