Under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Karim El Battouti, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, and under the supervision of Prof. Walaa Hamed, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, the Faculty of Dentistry at Ain Shams University organized an awareness seminar entitled “Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.” The seminar was delivered by Prof. Ahmed El Awady, Director of the Sustainability Center at Ain Shams University, as part of the University’s commitment to promoting a culture of sustainability and raising awareness of the importance of achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), contributing to Egypt’s efforts to build a more sustainable future.

The seminar addressed the importance of the Sustainable Development Goals and their role in achieving a balance between economic, social, and environmental dimensions. It also emphasized the need to integrate institutional and community efforts to promote sustainable practices, foster a sense of social responsibility, and preserve natural resources, thereby ensuring a better quality of life for present and future generations.

The seminar also comes as part of the Faculty of Dentistry’s community service role and its commitment to raising awareness of sustainable development issues and encouraging active participation in initiatives that promote the responsible use of resources and environmental protection.

The faculty reaffirmed its commitment to continuing its efforts to organize awareness-raising events and activities that contribute to realizing Ain Shams University’s vision for sustainable development and strengthening the role of university institutions in community service and environmental development.
