Students from the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences at Ain Shams University achieve first place in the Internet of Things (IoT) and Smart Systems track
As part of Ain Shams University's strategy, the Aura team from the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences at Ain Shams University achieved a remarkable feat by winning first place in the IntelliShift Hackathon finals, hosted by Cairo University, in the Internet of Things (IoT) & Smart Systems track.
This achievement came after the team successfully qualified from the initial rounds of the competition, which were held amidst fierce competition from numerous participating teams. They continued their outstanding performance and secured first place thanks to their innovative solutions and technical excellence in the project, which aims to support the diagnosis and monitoring of autism spectrum disorder using artificial intelligence.

It relies on smart glasses equipped with a camera and microphone to analyze social interactions, integrating voice analysis and facial expressions using Machine Learning and LLM technologies. The system provides clinical reports that help doctors assess cases more accurately and objectively, while maintaining data privacy.
The team included students from the Computer Systems Department: Mariam Abdel Nasser Ogabeh, Ammar Mohamed Gaber, Ahmed Reda Abdel Hamid Mohamed, Yahya Ahmed Mohamed Hamza, Mahmoud Mohamed Mahmoud Khater, and Youssef Adel Naseem.
This achievement was made possible under the auspices of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Rasha Ismail, Dean of the Faculty, and under the supervision of Dr. Hafez Moawad, Lecturer in the Computer Systems Department, and Eng. Saif El Din and Eng. Mahmoud Youssef, Teaching Assistants in the Computer Systems Department.
This victory reflects the outstanding academic level of the students at the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences at Ain Shams University, their ability to compete in scientific and innovative competitions at both the local and regional levels, and their capacity to provide innovative technological solutions that contribute to addressing societal challenges.
