Faculty of Arts Student Reem Tamer Wins Gold at the Arab U23 Athletics Championships

As part of Ain Shams University's commitment to supporting outstanding students across various fields, and under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University; Prof. Rami Maher Sadek Ghali, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; and Prof. Hanan Kamel, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, with the supervision of Prof. Mohamed Ibrahim Hassan Mohamed, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, student Reem Tamer achieved a remarkable sporting milestone by winning the gold medal in the pole vault event at the 3rd Arab U23 Athletics Championships, held at the Suez Canal Authority Stadium in Ismailia from June 20 to 24, 2026.

Reem secured first place following an outstanding performance, adding another sporting achievement to Ain Shams University's record and reaffirming the excellence of its students in Arab sporting competitions.

On this occasion, Prof. Hanan Kamel, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, congratulated Reem Tamer on her achievement, emphasizing that the faculty takes great pride in its distinguished students and remains committed to supporting and encouraging them to pursue excellence. She described Reem's accomplishment as an inspiring example of the ability of Ain Shams University students to excel and represent the University with distinction at Arab competitions.

For his part, Prof. Mohamed Ibrahim Hassan Mohamed, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, stated that Reem Tamer's victory reflects the outstanding capabilities of the faculty’s students and underscores the faculty’s ongoing commitment to supporting talented students and motivating them to achieve further success.
