Faculty of Dentistry Officially Accredited as a Training Center by the Egyptian Health Council
As part of Ain Shams University's vision to advance medical education and training and enhance the quality of educational and professional services provided to the healthcare sector, and under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, the Faculty of Dentistry has announced that its Continuing Education Unit has received official accreditation from the Egyptian Health Council as an Accredited Training Center.
This significant academic and professional achievement encompasses three key milestones: the accreditation of the Continuing Education Unit as a training center fully compliant with the standards of the Egyptian Health Council; the approval of a portfolio of the Unit's educational and training programs; and the accreditation of a distinguished group of the Unit's faculty members as certified trainers.
The accredited programs enable healthcare professionals to earn Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points, contributing directly to the enhancement of their professional competencies while fulfilling the mandatory requirements for the renewal of professional practice licenses in accordance with the relevant regulations.
Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, praised the achievement as another valuable addition to the University's distinguished record of excellence. He emphasized that the faculty’s accreditation reflects the University's ongoing commitment to strengthening national partnerships, advancing Egypt's healthcare system, and supporting the state's efforts to develop highly qualified medical professionals.
Prof. Karim El-Batouty, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, also affirmed that the accreditation represents a strategic milestone that further reinforces the faculty’s role as a leading center for education and professional training. He noted that the faculty remains committed to delivering training programs aligned with the latest international standards to prepare healthcare professionals capable of providing high-quality patient care.
