With AI-Powered Innovations, the Faculty of Business Honors Leading Student Projects at the “Creativity and Technology” Forum

In a strategic step that confirms its leadership in linking academic education outcomes with the requirements of the rapidly evolving digital labor market, the Innovation and Creativity Unit at the Faculty of Commerce, Ain Shams University, organized an exceptional forum entitled “Creativity and Technology in Entrepreneurship – Digital Empowerment for a Professional Future.”

The forum activities were launched to serve as a real gateway for youth toward the world of entrepreneurship, amid a large academic and student attendance, and with the participation of a distinguished group of technology experts, entrepreneurs, and decision-makers.

The event was held under the generous patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University; Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development; Prof. Amany Osama, Vice President of the University for Graduate Studies and Research; and Prof. Farid Moharram El Garhy, Dean of the Faculty of Business, under the direct supervision of Dr. Mayvel Nabil Ramses, Director of theInnovation and Creativity Unit at the Faculty of Commerce.

In his opening speech, Prof. Farid Moharram El Garhy delivered a strong message emphasizing that the role of modern universities is no longer limited solely to academic instruction but has become a fundamental driver for supporting industry and Innovation.

His Excellency stressed that embracing youth ideas and transforming them into successful business models represents an authentic commitment aligned with the state’s strategy and “Egypt Vision 2030,” with the aim of preparing a generation capable of competing locally and globally.

The forum witnessed the attendance of a high-level group of academic leaders and prominent figures. The event was honored by the presence of Prof. Gehan Ragab, Advisor to the Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development; Prof. Marian Azar, Head of the Scientific Research, Technology, and Cybersecurity Committee at the National Council for Women; Dr. Mohamed Magdy, Director of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center at Ain Shams University; and Dr. Islam Adly, Coordinator of the Innovation Unit.

The forum included an extensive and rich panel discussion on employing technology and artificial intelligence in the entrepreneurship environment, led by a distinguished group of speakers, namely Prof. Farid Moharram El Garhy, Dean of the Faculty of Business; Dr. Abanoub Gamal Fayek, Founder and Partner of Cropsa Egypt and Extractor Co. and member of the Scientific Research Committee at the National Council for Women; Dr. Dalal Wanees Takla, Head of Business Excellence Sector at Tamweely Financial Services; Eng. Ahmed Talba, Partner and Director of Companies and Projects at Ideosoftx; and Dr. Yehia Othman, Marketing Strategist and Entrepreneur.

The speakers discussed mechanisms for transforming ideas into executable projects and overcoming the challenges of rapid digital transformation.

Within the framework of reinforcing the concept of university integration and exchanging expertise among the university’s various faculties, the participation of Dr. Mona Abdel Azim, Lecturer at the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences, Ain Shams University, stood out. She provided crucial technical guidance to technology project owners, reflecting the integration of efforts and the relentless pursuit of providing students with the best guidance and advisory support that connects business vision with sound technical implementation.

The event reached its peak with strong and fierce competition among nine student teams that presented innovative solutions based on artificial intelligence to address societal and economic challenges.

The precise evaluations of the judging committee resulted in crowning the distinguished projects, with student Ziad Abu Zeid winning first place for the project (Savora AI), an intelligent platform for analyzing restaurant data and transforming it into decisions that enhance operational efficiency. Meanwhile, second place went to student Ahmed Ayman for the project (P-cash), which represents an innovative system for automated and intelligent auditing of daily expenses.

Third place was awarded to student Noran Abdel Wahed for the application (Interactive AR Store), which provides a pioneering virtual experience allowing users to measure and try on clothes in terms of color, size, and length before purchasing electronically.

The project (Seeeker) by student Abdelrahman Ahmed also received special praise from the committee due to the exceptional creativity and remarkable innovative capability it reflects.

The forum concluded its activities with a package of strategic recommendations that emphasized the necessity of expanding the use of artificial intelligence applications to reduce the cost and time required for launching digital platforms and activating the role of the Innovation Unit in adopting creative ideas and encouraging youth.

The attendees also recommended increasing effective communication among the university’s different faculties to create an integrated innovative environment that supports ideas amid digital transformation.

In conclusion, the faculty announced its full commitment to providing complete support to the winning teams by embracing their ideas in a way that enhances the opportunities for transforming these creative student visions into real startups that support the national economy.
