Prof. Dr. Abdel-Fattah Saoud, Vice President of Ain Shams University for Education and Student Affairs, announced that the university is about to hold a symposium on human rights on Wednesday 27/7/2022 at 10 am at the El-Mahlawi auditorium at the Faculty of Medicine. This came during the meeting of the Education and Student Affairs Sector.

The symposium is sponsored by Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of the University and organized by Prof. Dr. Hesham Tamraz, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and in the presence of Ambassador Moushira Khattab, President of the National Council for Human Rights, a team from the National Council, faculty staff from each faculty, and university students, represented by "For Egypt" Central family, all the families of the Student Union, the first academic teams, and the Red Cross group.

Prof. Dr. Abdel-Fattah Saoud stressed that the symposium will depend on useful and useful discussions for everyone and everything that can be applied on the ground by asking a question or the students’ thought, after the participating students enter the university’s website and download the symposium’s file, which will bear the topic of the Egyptian strategy for human rights and the Universal Declaration of Rights Human Rights, calling on the faculties’ representatives to hold meetings before the symposium with the students and discuss with them to prepare well for this file.

While Prof. Dr. Hesham Tamraz explained that the idea of ​​this symposium came during the 100-Year Foreign Ministry symposium organized by the university on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Egyptian Foreign Ministry, where the ambassador, Moushira Khattab, demanded that she meet with university students to talk about human rights, as she indicated that 60% of Egypt's population are youth But they do not participate in the elections, and she demanded the selection of a male or female student from the audience to become a youth ambassador for a human rights organization from Ain Shams University. The university chose the student, Aya Hisham, head of the Student Union at Ain Shams University.
