Under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Mohamed Ragaa El-Sotohy, Dean of the Faculty of Science, the Faculty of Science organized the official graduation ceremony for the Class of 2025.

Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen inaugurated the ceremony with an opening speech, in which he expressed his keenness to share this joyous occasion with the university’s graduates and their families. He highlighted the emotional significance of graduation ceremonies, which are filled with a mix of happiness, pride, and gratitude as graduates conclude a vital academic journey and prepare to embark on a new, more practical chapter in their lives.
He also referred to the rich legacy of the Faculty of Science, noting that its founding predates that of Ain Shams University itself. The faculty enjoys a prestigious international reputation, having produced many leading scientists in the Arab world and beyond. Its graduates continue to appear prominently in top international rankings, and many of its scholars are listed among the top 2% of scientists worldwide.

Dr. Diaa added that this day is a historic milestone for the university, which takes pride in graduating a new generation of scientists and researchers, individuals whom we hope will contribute their knowledge and expertise to building a brighter future for our beloved homeland.
In his speech, Prof. Mohamed Ragaa El-Sotohy, Dean of the Faculty of Science, expressed his deep pride and joy in sharing this celebration with his graduating students. He praised their perseverance and determination in overcoming the challenges they faced during their academic journey at Ain Shams University, a beacon of knowledge and learning that has supported them over the past four years.
He extended his gratitude to all members of the Faculty of Science family, faculty staff, administrators, and employees for their continuous dedication and hard work in advancing the faculty’s mission and in preparing distinguished scientific cadres who elevate the name of the university and the nation. He emphasized to the graduates that graduation is not the end of the journey, but the true beginning of a new path toward building their futures, urging them to live up to the hopes and dreams of their families and communities.
Prof. Reem El-Kabariti, Director of the University Alumni Association, praised the university’s leadership for its unwavering support of its graduates, both during their years of study and beyond. She highlighted the Association’s role as a vital link between the university and its alumni, showcasing their achievements across various fields, involving them in seminars, workshops, and national and international conferences, and recognizing outstanding graduates in fields such as entrepreneurship, scientific research, and social impact. She also noted the provision of unique community services offered to alumni.
Prof. Dr. Eman Abdel Azim, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, extended heartfelt congratulations to the graduates and their families. She encouraged the graduates to be devoted scientists who dedicate their knowledge to the service of the nation and humanity and contribute to the advancement of societies.
In her address, Prof. Amal Morsy, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, emphasized that science is a noble mission, and urged graduates to recognize their responsibility as ambassadors of their university and country. She called upon them to carry the light of knowledge, innovation, and progress to the world, guided by awakened consciences and hearts dedicated to shaping a better future for all.
The ceremony was attended by faculty staff and former deans of the Faculty of Science.
