The Anti-Violence and Harassment Unit provides service packages for girls with disabilities at Ain Shams University

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Hisham Tamraz, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and coinciding with the International Day of the Girl and Mental Health Month, the Anti-Violence and Harassment Unit was presented under the chairmanship of Dr. Hind Al-Hilali, a group of workshops serving girls with disabilities, in cooperation with the University's Service Center for People with Disabilities, headed by Dr. Rana Hilali.

Where training was provided to develop the psychological and physical capabilities of the girl, which qualifies her to defend herself when any form of violence and harassment occurs.

         
   
         

Dr. Hind Al-Hilali, Director of Anti-violence and Harassment Unit, said that the workshop comes as a continuation of the unit's activity directed at girls with disabilities, which began at the beginning of the academic year with a workshop to train specialists who are entrusted with working with people with disabilities to receive cases of violence and harassment from a psychological and social point of view and how to refer them to the unit to take the necessary action.

Dr. Amani Abdel Aal, the certified trainer for window training, stated that by the end of the workshop, the girl will acquire the physical and psychological skills that will enable her to face any attempts of violence and harassment that she may be exposed to, and that she took into account during the training the delivery of skills in a way that suits these girls.

Also Dr. Hind Al-Hilali said that the unit is in the process of conducting a training workshop for girls with disabilities on how to plant roofs in cooperation with the Green Transformation Unit at the College of Graduate Studies and Environmental Research and with the Service Center for People with Disabilities.
