At the beginning of the session, Prof. Rami Maher Ghali expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to the deans and vice deans of the faculties for their outstanding efforts during the examination period. He commended the excellent organization and meticulous execution, noting the full adherence to the approved plan and schedule during the first semester examinations. This, he said, reflected a high level of institutional discipline and effective coordination among the faculties and relevant departments.
He also extended his gratitude to Prof. Hala Moshir, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences for
Education and Student Affairs, in recognition of her dedicated efforts during her tenure and her significant contributions to supporting student activities within the faculty.
Prof. Rami Maher Ghali stressed to the deans of the faculties the importance of enhancing direct communication with students, stressing the need to open their offices to receive students, listen to their problems and work to solve them within the faculty, considering this an integral part of their responsibilities and their administrative and educational role, while emphasizing that problems should not be raised to the university administration except in cases of extreme necessity, which contributes to the speed of dealing with student issues and achieving stability within the educational process.
During the session, Prof. Rami Maher Ghali praised the entertainment festival organized by the sector in Ismailia, which included students with disabilities who were sports champions, Egyptian and international students, and students from university dormitories. He appreciated the good organization and the efforts made by those in charge of it, and stressed that the festival clearly contributed to raising the morale of the champions with disabilities, and achieved a distinctive state of integration and interaction between them and the students. He pointed out that this trip represented a real opportunity for acquaintance and harmony between the various groups of university students, within a framework that enhances the values of inclusion and positive participation within the university community.
He also praised the university’s participation in the EDUGATE exhibition in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, considering it a gateway to international relations.
Furthermore, Ain Shams University participated for the first time in the “Top Notch 4” forum in Abu Dhabi, under the theme “Together for a Promising Future.” The forum was held under the patronage of Sheikh Hamdan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, in cooperation with the Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Cultural Affairs and Missions Sector, and the "Study in Egypt" initiative, along with a number of other participating Egyptian and international universities.
The university’s vice president also commended the university’s achievement in the Webometrics Ranking of World Universities, reflecting the development of the university’s digital and academic presence at both the regional and international levels.
During the session, the council reviewed several agenda items and discussed mechanisms for developing educational and student services to better serve students and enhance the quality of the educational process.
During the session, the minutes of the Education and Student Affairs Committee meeting held on December 9, 2025, were approved, as were the minutes of the Standing Committee meeting of the Education and Student Affairs Council held on January 4, 2026, and the minutes of the Standing Committee (Emergency Session) meeting of the Education and Student Affairs Council held on January 22, 2026.
