The President of Ain Shams University and the Vice President for Education and Student Affairs inspect the Measurement and Evaluation Laboratory, greenhouses, applied laboratories, and apiaries at the Faculty of Agriculture

Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Rami Maher, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, accompanied by Prof. Walaa Abdel Ghani, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, and the faculty's vice deans, inspected several educational and research facilities within the faculty. This visit was part of ongoing monitoring of developments and an assessment of the academic and applied capabilities on the ground, reflecting the university's commitment to supporting quality and excellence in the educational process.

The tour began with the inauguration of the Measurement and Evaluation Laboratory. The university president received a detailed explanation of the laboratory's capabilities and the latest equipment and software used in creating question banks and electronically grading exams. This aligns with quality standards and academic accreditation requirements, supports the state's drive towards digital transformation, and contributes to achieving fairness and transparency in evaluation systems.

The tour also included a visit to the company exhibition held on the sidelines of the job fair. Both the university president and vice president visited the booths of participating companies, learning about their fields of work and the training and employment opportunities they offer to the faculty's students and graduates. They emphasized the importance of integrating academic studies with the demands of the labor market and strengthening direct communication channels between students and representatives of various productive sectors.

The tour extended to include a visit to the faculty's facilities and applied laboratories, where the advanced capabilities in plant and animal production, food processing, and modern agricultural technology were showcased. The tour also highlighted the applications of artificial intelligence in agriculture, which contribute to increased production efficiency and sustainability.

Both the university president and vice president praised the faculty's continuous development in its infrastructure and research facilities, stressing the university administration's full support for everything that would raise the scientific and applied level, and prepare a qualified graduate who possesses the skills and knowledge necessary to compete in the local and regional labor market.

The tour also included an inspection of the faculty's apiaries, which are among the distinguished educational and applied units at the Faculty of Agriculture, at Ain Shams University. The visit provided an opportunity to learn about beekeeping techniques and the production of honey and its various products according to the latest scientific methods. Students also received practical training in apiary management techniques, bee breed improvement, and pest control, contributing to scientific research, community service, and the promotion of sustainable agriculture and food security. Furthermore, the apiaries offer opportunities for establishing small and medium-sized enterprises based on modern scientific principles.
