In his address, Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, expressed his delight at the presence of students and graduates of Ain Shams University, as well as partners from industrial and agricultural institutions, at the Faculty of Agriculture, Ain Shams University. He highlighted the importance of this event, which bridges the gap between science and practice, and between the university and the production market, through the Faculty of Agriculture's annual employment fair, themed "Artificial Intelligence and the Agricultural Labor Market."
He emphasized the university's national and developmental role and its ongoing commitment to preparing qualified personnel capable of keeping pace with the changing times, particularly in light of the rapid technological revolution in which artificial intelligence has become a fundamental element in the development of various sectors, most notably the agricultural and food sectors. Agriculture is no longer merely a traditional practice; it has become an advanced scientific field that relies on innovation, technology, and data analysis, opening new horizons for our youth in a more developed and competitive job market.
He added that this fair embodies the university's vision of bridging the gap between academic study and practical application by providing students and graduates with the opportunity to connect directly with companies and institutions, learn about labor market demands, and gain the experience necessary to lead the future.

For his part, Mr. Saad Moussa, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, praised the leading role of the Faculty of Agriculture in supporting agricultural and industrial development plans. He emphasized the importance of aligning educational outcomes with market needs, especially given the growing interest in artificial intelligence applications to improve productivity and optimize resource utilization. He also noted the governorate's keenness to strengthen cooperation with the university to support development projects and empower graduates.
Prof. Rami Maher Ghali, Vice President of Ain Shams University for Education and Student Affairs, affirmed that the Faculty of Agriculture's job fair is one of the effective mechanisms adopted by the university to enhance students' readiness for the job market by providing opportunities for direct interaction with major companies and institutions operating in the agricultural and food processing sectors.
His Excellency explained that the university is committed to integrating practical and skills-based aspects into the educational process, in line with the requirements of digital transformation and artificial intelligence applications. The fair aims to highlight the role of artificial intelligence in developing the agricultural sector, link educational outcomes with labor market needs, prepare students and graduates for future jobs, and strengthen partnerships with agricultural sector institutions.
The fair's program includes specialized seminars, direct meetings with company representatives, presentations of training and employment opportunities, career guidance and resume writing sessions, and showcases of innovative student projects.
The fair's themes address artificial intelligence applications in agriculture, the future of competitive exports, its role in scientific research, food manufacturing, food quality and safety, improving food production, supporting digital services and technical consultations, as well as discussing dietary patterns in light of the 2026 food pyramid, reflecting an integrated vision towards smart and sustainable agriculture that serves the national economy.
