In addition to providing free samples of medications for diabetes and nerve inflammation, as well as for patients diagnosed with peripheral circulatory insufficiency, the faculty also conducted necessary tests for staff members in its various departments and university hospitals.
Furthermore, free periodic checkups were offered to members of the public who do not have diabetes, promoting a culture of early detection and prevention, based on the belief that health begins with a small step of awareness.
The activities included a comprehensive medical camp for measuring blood sugar and HbA1c levels, and identifying new cases of pre-existing conditions among staff, employees, and students. This initiative is part of the university's ongoing efforts to support public health and raise awareness about the risks of diabetes and how to prevent it.
A group of physicians from the faculty participated in the activities, including Dr. Ola Shaheen, Dr. Sarah Wael, Dr. Nada Sherif, Dr. Aya Madbouly, Dr. Omnia Refaat, and Dr. Islam Nasser, as well as teaching assistants.
