The Vice President of Ain Shams University for Postgraduate Studies and Research attends the closing ceremony of the 7th and 8th phases of the "Children's University" program

Under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Gina El-Feky, President of the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology (ASRT), Prof. Amany Osama Kamel, Vice President of Ain Shams University for Postgraduate Studies and Research, inaugurated the closing ceremony of the Children's University Program for its 7th and 8th phases (General and Specialized Tracks).

         
   
         

The ceremony was held in the presence of Prof. Sherweit El-Ahmady, Executive Director of the International Relations and Academic Collaboration Sector, Dr. Rana Refai, Executive Director of the Children's University Program at ASRT, and Prof. Hoda Sossa, Director of Grants and Projects Management at the International Relations Sector. The event was organized under the supervision and coordination of Dr. Noha El-Rafei, Deputy Director of Scholarships and Projects Management and University Coordinator of the Children's University Program. The ceremony also saw the participation of Prof. Rasha Ismail, the Dean of the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences, along with several faculty deans and program coordinators.

In her address, Prof. Amany Osama Kamel welcomed attendees and expressed her delight at engaging with the children during the program’s activities. She emphasized that Children's University serves as a pioneering model for nurturing creativity and fostering scientific talent from an early age. She extended her heartfelt thanks to the parents for their awareness and commitment to providing such enriching opportunities for their children.

         
   
         

She also praised the continued support of the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology, especially its ongoing development of the program by integrating new specializations that further enrich the children’s learning experience. Dr. Kamel conveyed her deep appreciation to the ASU team responsible for the program, particularly Dr. Noha El-Rafei, for their dedicated efforts and sincere care in mentoring the children, commending the pivotal role played by faculty deans and coordinators in making this educational initiative a success.

She concluded her remarks by wishing the participating children a bright future full of hope, achievement, and excellence.

Prof. Sherweit El-Ahmady expressed her pride in the students’ enthusiasm and passion for learning, demonstrated during their visits to various university faculties and laboratories. She lauded the faculties’ efforts in providing an interactive educational experience that inspires creativity, affirming that today’s children are the scientists and artists of tomorrow.

   
   

Dr. Rana Refai also voiced her happiness in attending the ceremony, commending Ain Shams University for embracing the program’s mission and instilling a lifelong love of science in children. She highlighted the university's efforts to remove obstacles and foster a nurturing environment that encourages curiosity and discovery.

Meanwhile, Prof. Hoda Sossa emphasized ASRT’s leading role in supporting innovation in Egypt, noting that the children’s hands-on experience at the Faculty of Engineering laboratories significantly boosted their self-confidence and innovation skills, paving the way for a scientifically competent and creative generation.

In her remarks, Dr. Noha El-Rafei stated that Ain Shams University was one of the first institutions to implement the Children's University Program and was the first nationwide to launch the specialized phase. She credited the program’s success to a spirit of teamwork and collaborative effort, thanking university leadership and ASRT for their unwavering support and for providing all necessary resources to ensure both the safety and educational benefit of the children.

The closing ceremony featured a diverse lineup of artistic and scientific performances presented by the children, including musical and choral segments, poetry recitations, and interactive scientific demonstrations. The event concluded with group photos capturing moments with the Grants and Projects Office team, faculty representatives from the participating entities, Faculties of Computers and Information, Specific Education, Science, Environmental Studies and Research, Archaeology, and the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center, as well as students from the university’s Youth Welfare sector.
