Dean of the Faculty of Business at Ain Shams University chairs a meeting with program coordinators to evaluate the first week of the academic semester

Prof. Farid Moharram El-Garhy, Dean of the Faculty of Business at Ain Shams University, chaired an important meeting attended by the Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, the Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research, and the coordinators of the various academic programs at the faculty. The meeting aimed to review the progress of the educational process during the first week of the new academic semester 2025/2026.

The meeting addressed several key topics, including Reports from program coordinators on the status of academic programs, Mechanisms to monitor student and faculty attendance, Removing any obstacles hindering the educational process, Classroom and laboratory readiness for the semester, Emphasizing the coordinators’ role as an effective link between students and faculty administration, Empowering coordinators to make timely decisions to resolve daily issues, Developing clear mechanisms for addressing student difficulties, The importance of early intervention to address academic or administrative challenges Establishing a clear protocol for handling unexpected teaching absences, including immediate alternatives to cover lectures and evaluating recurring causes of such absences if any Enforcing strict regulations regarding teaching staff absences after the schedules are approved, Assessing the impact of absences on the academic plan, Setting disciplinary measures for unjustified absences, and Addressing the issue of selective absences by teaching staff from specific academic programs, which may affect the principle of equal educational opportunities among students.

This meeting comes within the framework of the faculty’s strategy to enhance the quality of student services, strengthen effective communication between students and administration, and implement a comprehensive plan to improve the education system. The goal is to ensure the regularity of the educational process from day one of the semester, through continuous on-ground follow-up and attention to the operational aspects of teaching, while ensuring the highest standards of academic quality.
