Vice President of Ain Shams University honors the Awards Office in recognition of its outstanding contributions to the development of the awards system at the University

Prof. Amany Osama Kamel, Vice President of Ain Shams University for Postgraduate Studies and Research, honored the Awards Office team at the university, in the presence of Prof. Alaa El-Din Abdel Halim Mohamed Farag, General Supervisor of the Office; Mr. Mohamed Fathy El-Khatib, Assistant Secretary of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Research; Mr. Emad Abdel-Tawab, Director General of the General Administration of Scientific Research; and Mr. Ahmed Hussein, Director General of the General Administration of Cultural Relations.

The recognition included members of the Awards Office team and representatives from several university departments, including: the General Administration of Scientific Research, the General Administration of Cultural Relations, the E-Portal Administration, the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Postgraduate Studies and Research, and the Office of the Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research.

This honor comes in appreciation of the outstanding efforts made by the Office in supporting applicants for various awards, following up on nomination procedures, and developing related databases, thereby enhancing the university’s standing locally and internationally.

During the ceremony, Prof. Amany Osama Kamel affirmed that the Awards Office represents a cornerstone reflecting the university’s strategic orientation in supporting the system of scientific research and innovation. She highlighted its pivotal role in assisting faculty members and researchers at different levels—starting with raising awareness of available opportunities, providing technical and administrative support for preparing high-quality applications, and following up on nominations and evaluations.

She also commended the qualitative achievements accomplished by the Office over the past period, which embodied a spirit of teamwork and institutional integration among various departments, contributing to an increased participation of faculty members in local, regional, and international awards.

Prof. Amany Osama Kamel emphasized that sustaining these efforts and developing work mechanisms will open broader horizons for researchers and academic staff to excel and distinguish themselves, while strengthening the university’s ability to secure more prestigious awards. This, in turn, supports its aspirations toward leadership and excellence in scientific research and consolidates its status among prominent universities both locally and internationally.
