Under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Hanan Kamel Metwally, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Prof. Mohamed Ibrahim Hassan, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Education and Student Affairs, and under the supervision of Dr. Israa Mohamed Fahim, Lecturer at the Faculty, and as a part of the public diplomacy activities of the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Immigration, and as a continuation of the Ministry's efforts to enhance communication with students and youth, students from the Faculty of Arts participated in an interactive meeting held by Dr. Badr Abdel Aty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, on Tuesday evening, April 22, 2025, with 100 students from various Egyptian public and private universities. These included Ain Shams University, Cairo University, Alexandria University, the American University in Cairo, the British University, the French University, the Canadian University, the German University, Badia University, and Badr University.

This meeting complements the activities organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Immigration to enhance communication with youth. The most recent event was the reception of 50 university students from various governorates last October, including universities from the governorates of Qalyubia, Ismailia, the Red Sea, Aswan, North Sinai, Damietta, Marsa Matrouh, Beheira, Gharbia, Sharqia, Minya, and Assiut.

This reflects the state's interest in engaging directly with Egyptian youth, as they represent the nation's energy and future. This commitment to engaging them in dialogue about Egyptian foreign policy, especially in light of the delicate situation facing the region, is also essential to understand the Ministry's role in protecting Egyptian interests on the regional and international levels.
During the meeting, the Minister gave a comprehensive presentation on the determinants of Egyptian foreign policy, reviewing the regional and international challenges facing Egypt at the present stage, most notably developments in Gaza, Syria, Sudan, Libya, the Ethiopian dam, and the Red Sea. He also highlighted the Ministry's active diplomatic efforts on various issues, as well as its efforts to strengthen economic and investment partnerships with friendly countries. He also highlighted the Ministry's role in caring for Egyptian citizens abroad and its tireless efforts to develop consular services.

An interactive discussion took place between Minister Abdel-Aty and the students, where he listened to their views and suggestions on various regional issues. He emphasized the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' commitment to continuing to open channels of dialogue with youth at universities across the governorates, contributing to raising awareness of Egypt's active role on the regional and international levels to safeguard national interests.
