Ain Shams University mourns Prof. Hamdy El-Sayed, former Head of the Egyptian Medical Syndicate

Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, mourn with great sadness and grief, the late Prof. Hamdy Al-Sayed, Professor of Cardiology at the Faculty of Medicine, at Ain Shams University, and former Head of Egyptian Medical Syndicate.

The President of the University and the University family, including deans, vice deans, faculty staff, teaching assistants, employees, and students, extend their sincere condolences on the death of one of the most prominent medical figures in Egypt, asking God Almighty to cover him with his vast mercy, dwell him in spacious gardens, and inspire his family and loved ones with patience and solace.

It is noteworthy that Prof. Hamdi Al-Sayed worked as a professor of cardiology at the Faculty of Medicine at Ain Shams University, a member of the Egyptian Universities Promotion Committee, and a member of the People’s Assembly for three consecutive terms. He also held the position of Captain General of the Egyptian Medical Syndicate for four consecutive terms, and he has many notable positions, in order to preserve the medical profession and the rights of doctors, he has many intellectual and creative contributions in the fields of health.
