The launch of the 7th Conference for Student Research and Research Projects at the Faculty of Medicine

The activities of the first day of the 7th Conference for Student Research and Research Projects, organized by the Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University, began, and continued in the 28th and 29th of February, under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zein El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University and Prof. Ali Al-Anwar, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the Board of Directors of University Hospitals, Prof. Tarek Youssef, Executive Director of Ain Shams University Hospitals, in the presence of Prof. Rania Salah, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Eman Bakr, Head of the Department of Community Medicine, Prof. Amani Mukhtar, Professor of Public Health and Preventive Medicine, Chairman of the Conference, and Prof. Maha Al-Gaafari, Professor of Public Health and Preventive Medicine and Secretary General of the Conference, Prof. Nagwa Al-Shafi’i, Professor of Pediatrics, Member of the Senate, and a group of Egyptian university professors, deans and vice deans of faculty, along with representatives of the Ministry of Education and a group of male and female students from various universities.

Prof. Rania Salah praised this great achievement, considering that students are better off than previous generations in terms of providing opportunities and possibilities to conduct scientific research at an early age. Also, Dr. Aisha Abu Al-Futouh, former vice dean of the faculty, expressed the effort exerted to establish and continue this conference and expressed her happiness for our students, future scholars.

         
   
         

Prof. Eman Bakr believes in the effective participation of various universities, and in her speech at the opening ceremony, Prof. Amani Mukhtar said that our students are the future generation, and they are the ones who will carry the banner of scientific research and raise the nation’s flag high.

Therefore, we believe in the importance of investing in them and providing them with the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in this field.

This conference is a great opportunity for students to present their research results to experts in various fields, and it is also an opportunity for them to exchange ideas and learn from each other.

She added that this conference is the result of great efforts made by all participants, from student researchers to faculty and administration members.

She expressed her true pride in this generation of students who have a great passion for scientific research and strive for excellence in various fields.

She also pointed out that this conference comes within the framework of our university’s keenness to enhance the culture of scientific research among its students.

It is worth noting that a large group of Egyptian colleges from various governorates participated in this conference, with the participation of about 12 students from the University of Jordan from the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Biotechnology. Students await it annually as it is the largest event that brings together researchers from all over Egypt and abroad.

The conference activities included a lecture on artificial intelligence delivered by Prof. Mohamed Abdel Razek, Professor of Artificial Intelligence at Al-Azhar University. During the day, 30 research papers were discussed in 8 scientific sessions, in addition to a video presentation designed by students presenting the history of the conference over the previous seven years.
