Extending the opening of applying for the UNESCO - King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa Prize for the Use of Information and Communication Technology in Education for the year 2024

The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) announced that nominations for the UNESCO King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa Prize for the Use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in the Field of Education for the year 2023 are still open, under the slogan “Digital Education for Green Education.” The prize keeps pace with the latest global trends in education and the integration of interest and care for the environment and green spaces into educational curricula and teaching methods.

Note that the prize will be granted in its edition this year to projects and initiatives that use digital technology to develop innovative and comprehensive teaching methods related to climate, in addition to projects and initiatives that allow learners to acquire the knowledge, values, and skills necessary to address climate change and promote sustainable development.

It is worth noting that this prize was established in 2005 with financial support from the Kingdom of Bahrain, and is in line with the goals and policies of UNESCO, as well as the strategic goals of the organization. This prize also honors individuals and organizations who undertake distinguished projects. To advance teaching and learning in the digital age, the prize also contributes to highlighting distinguished models, best practices, and ways to use information and communication technology creatively to advance academic performance.
