The conclusion of the sessions of the "Vaccines" workshop during the activities of the second day of the 11th international scientific conference of Ain Shams University in partnership with the Jenner Institute (Oxford University Medicine)

Prof. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University, witnessed a workshop on "Vaccines" in partnership with the Jenner Institute (Oxford University Medicine), entitled Vaccinology Workshop in collaboration with The Jenner Institute at the University of Oxford, during the activities of the second day of the eleventh annual international conference of Ain Shams University “Knowledge economy ... for a better life" in the presence of Prof. Awad Taj El-Din, Advisor to the President of the Republic for Health Affairs and Prof. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research Prof. Ali Al-Anwar, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, at Ain Shams University and Prof. Amani Kamel, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, at Ain Shams University, Professors, Vice Deans of the Faculty of Pharmacy, at Ain Shams University, and Prof. Tariq Youssef, Executive Director of Ain Shams University Hospitals.

         
   
         

A group of specialized doctors spoke at the session: Prof. Samia Abdo, Deputy Executive Director of Ain Shams University Hospitals and Director of the Infection Control Unit, Prof. Ahmad Salman, has a Ph.D., Immunology, Jenner Institute at the University of Oxford, and Prof. Hisham El-Ghazaly, Professor of Oncology and Director of the Research Center, at the Faculty of Medicine, at Ain Shams University.

         
   
         

The workshop also included the participation of Prof. Adrian V. S. Hill, where reviewed an illustration of the development of novel vaccines for malaria and Covid-19, linkage between protection models and controlled human infection for TBC: insights into innate immunity, pointing out the safety and efficacy of primary immunoprotective with Pf^mei2 (GA2) attenuated malaria parasites transgenic in healthy Dutch volunteers.

         
   
         

Besides clinical trials for TBC and also the use of the innate immune system to fight cancer, native outer membrane vesicle-based vaccine: storage and development process of master cells, novel adjuvants used to enhance the efficacy and mode of action of HCV-TBC and TBC-tuberculosis vaccines.

         
   
         

Ellie (Eleanor) Barnes, at the Jenner Institute (University of Oxford) also spoke about a paper entitled "Progress and Challenges for Hepatitis C Virus Vaccines".

         
     
         

César López-Camacho, at the Jenner Institute (University of Oxford) presented the study on overcoming obstacles: innovations in RNA-based vaccines for emerging infectious diseases.

Adil El-Turabi, at the Jenner Institute (University of Oxford), presented a research paper on "Development of Vaccines for Non-communicable Diseases".
