Within the framework of the keenness of the Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs Sector at Ain Shams University to spread awareness of the importance of small and medium enterprises and their types, the Solidarity Unit at the university, in partnership with the Faculty of Education, organized a workshop entitled "Your project is not just an idea", within the framework of the protocol signed between the Ministry of Solidarity and Ain Shams University Under the auspices of Dr. Neven Al-Kabbaj, Minister of Social Solidarity, Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of the University and headed by Prof. Dr. Ghada Farouk, Acting Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Dr. Hazem Rashid, Dean of the College of Education, and Prof. Dr. Salah Hashem, Advisor to the Minister of Solidarity.
Prof. Dr. Gehan Ragab, Professor of Marketing at the Faculty of Business and Advisor to the Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Prof. Dr. Alaa Abdel Halim, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Education for Community Service and Environmental Development, inaugurated the workshop, which aims to introduce students to small and medium enterprises and build the university student’s abilities and skills Creative, and among the topics of the workshop are how to choose the idea of a successful project, the importance of turning the idea into a successful project, the characteristics of the initiator, and how to start your project? With an illustration of a working scale model of the project.
The workshop was attended by 100 male and female students from the university's faculties.
The coordination and implementation team from the University's Social Solidarity Unit included: Ms. Reham Abdel Rahman, unit coordinator, Ms. Esraa Maher, Social Protection and Economic Empowerment Officer, Mr. Mohamed Abdel-Wahab, responsible for awareness-raising activities, and volunteers from the Social Solidarity Unit at Ain Shams University.
