Ain Shams University's badminton team won gold, silver and two bronze in the Egyptian Universities Tournament

The activities of the 49th Egyptian Universities Tournament of Martyr Rifai continue, which is held under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education, hosted by Ain Shams University under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of the University and Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President of Education and Student Affairs, where the badminton championship was held for Egyptian universities and higher institutes.

         
   
         

13 universities and institutes competed over two days, and the Ain Shams University team won the badminton doubles championship for students:

The first place and the gold medal were the students “Ali Ashraf and Mohamed Alaa.” In the doubles championship, female students won the second place and the silver medal, the two students “Esraa Hani and Rana Ihab” and the fourth place was won by the two students “Sarah Mohamed and Toqa Mohamed”

As for the teams’ competitions, the university’s team achieved third place and won the bronze medal “Ali Ashraf, Ahmed Ramadan, Mohamed Alaa and Omar Tariq.”

The female students’ teams also won the third place and got the bronze medal “Israa Hani, Rana Ihab, Sarah Mohamed, and Toqa Mohamed.”

The honoring of students and the awarding of medals to the winning teams was attended by Dr. Mohamed Ramadan, General Coordinator of the Universities Sports Federation, and Mr. Osama Khair, General Manager of Technology and Communications

This was done under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Tamer Rady, Advisor to the Vice President for Student Activities, Mr. Mohamed Al-Khatib, Assistant Secretary for Education and Student Affairs, Mr. Mohamed Al-Sharqawi, Director General of the General Administration of Youth Welfare, and Mr. Mohamed Hassan, director of the Sports Activity Department and coach of the university's badminton team.
