The Faculty of Al-Alsun, Ain Shams University, received scholarships for ten students in the Department of Japanese Language, to study for one academic year in the universities of the friendly state of Japan, under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of the University, Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Dr. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty, and the supervision of Prof. Dr. Nasser Abdel Aal, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Aya Wael, teacher at the Japanese Department, representative of the International Cooperation Office for the Japanese Department, Prof. Marina Habib, Assistant Instructor, Department of Japanese Language, Student Exchange Grants Coordinator, Department.

Prof. Dr. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty and Head of the Department, said that the Japanese scholarship for college students comes within the framework of the sixth special announcement of the Egyptian-Japanese Initiative for Education (EJEP) for the year 2020/2021 for the undergraduate stage and in implementation of the joint programs between the Arab Republic of Egypt and the State of Japan.

As explained by Prof. Dr. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty, said that the Department of Japanese Language in the College was established in 2005, and more than 300 students have graduated from it, and the department is witnessing an increasing demand every year to study the Japanese language, and she stressed that the mechanisms for selecting students in the Japanese Department are subject to specific criteria, as The college is keen to select students very carefully to provide them with the Japanese language and mastery like its native speakers.

She explained that the college administration is working on refining students' language skills in addition to the Japanese culture, in cooperation with the Japanese side to open up prospects for educational cooperation that would become a new entry point between the two great civilizations to open areas of cooperation in various fields, especially after the great activity witnessed by the bilateral relations between the two friendly countries in the recent time.

She emphasized that the Department of Japanese Language at the Faculty of Al-Alsun, Ain Shams University enjoys a prestigious international reputation, and the department's graduates enjoy distinguished job opportunities, as well as their leading role in the exchange of political, cultural and social relations between the two friendly countries.
