Next Sunday ... Announcement of Ain Shams Innovation Competition Awards in its second edition

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University and Prof. Dr. Abdul Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, and Prof. Dr. Hisham Temraz, Vice President for Community and Environmental Affairs, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Maged Ghanima, Director of the University's Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Ain Shams University is organizing a competition award ceremony "Ain Shams Innovates", which is held for the second year in a row with the participation of faculties of Ain Shams University.

The ceremony will be held at 9:00 am next Sunday, corresponding to May 30, 2021, in the guesthouse of the Zafaran Palace in the main campus of the university.

The ceremony will be attended by a number of ministers, representatives from the Academy of Scientific Research, professors and students. The total prize money for the competition this year is expected to reach 300 thousand pounds for the winning students.

The award ceremony will be preceded by a number of student events and activities that take place over two consecutive days. On May 29, the contestants present their innovative ideas in a competitive framework via the Internet, while the second day includes a number of lectures in various fields, starting from four in the afternoon in the Grand Conference Hall of the Faculty of Science, Ain Shams University until the closing ceremony to announce and distribute prizes on campus. The university is the main guest in the Zafaran Palace.

It is noteworthy that the competition includes two main tracks in which contestants compete with their innovative ideas, namely the (innovation track), which targets students and recent graduates with emerging ideas and projects, and the researchers track, which targets faculty members, assisting bodies and alumni participating in research projects.
