Ain Shams University Developmental convoy of Qalyubia Governorate provides its various services to the people of Al-Mareg Village

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, and Major General Abdel Hamid Al-Hagan, Governor of Qalioubia, supervised by Prof. Dr. Hesham Tamraz, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, the Faculty of Specific Education, in coordination with the University's Community Service and Environmental Development Sector, and in cooperation with the Community Service Sector of the Faculties of Pharmacy, Specific Education, Medicine, Nursing, Dentistry, Agriculture and the Adult Education Center, organized a comprehensive development convoy to serve the people of the village Al-Mareej in Shebin Al-Qanater, Qalyoubia Governorate.

The convoy included a clothing campaign with a total of 126 complete sets, the distribution of brushes and toothpaste and masks, printing 30 T-shirts and giving them as gifts for children, and more than 50 children were taught to draw and print on the T-shirts.

In the field of literacy, 93 students benefited (by holding the exam for 54 illiterate students - and by enrolling 38 illiterate students).

The Faculty of Medicine (Community and Environmental Medicine and Industries Medicine) also held several awareness seminars, including:

Proper nutrition and maintenance of health, all nutrients related to health, prevention of breast cancer and risk factors, method of self-examination of the breast, hygiene and hand washing for children, chronic diseases and their prevention, hypertension, diabetes, kidney disease, liver, heart disease, anemia prevention and food Rich in iron element, Data Show was also displayed containing awareness messages in a simple way, in addition to distributing a number of awareness booklets on health, proper nutrition and hygiene to children and gifts for children (Ramadan lanterns).

   
   

Within the activities of the convoy, a photography exhibition was held, entitled (With 100 Feet) for photography.

The Faculty of Nursing participated in raising health awareness about the detection of chronic diseases and the measurement of blood sugar and blood pressure for those visiting the headquarters of the convoy.

Also, free examination was carried out on 300 individuals through the Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Dental and Dermatology clinics by the physicians of the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry at the University.

This came under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Osama El Sayed Mostafa, Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education, Prof. Dr. Amr Abdel Galel Khalil, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Dr. Abdul Rahman Shawqi Muhammad, Director of the Literacy Unit and Literacy Coordinator at the Faculty, in cooperation with Prof. Ashour Omari, President of the General Authority for Literacy and Adult Education, and Prof. Ahmed Galal, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Prof. Shahira Samir, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Amani Osama, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Hayam Rifaat, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Nursing for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Rami Maher, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Islam Al-Saeed, Director of the Center for Adult Education at Ain Shams University and Prof. Dr. Yahya Mustafa, Director of the Arts Center at the Faculty of Specific Education, and Mr. Suhail Hamza, Assistant Secretary General of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, and accountant Khaled Al-Arafi, President of the Center and City of Shebin Al-Qanater.
