Under the Chairmanship of the Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, the Board of Directors of the Nanotechnology Center at Ain Shams University Discusses Development and Operational Plans

The regular meeting of the Board of Directors of the Nanotechnology Center at Ain Shams University was held at the Center’s headquarters under the chairmanship of Prof. Amany Osama Kamel, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, to discuss a number of organizational and technical matters aimed at completing the Center’s infrastructure and strengthening its research and service role during the coming phase.

The meeting was attended by Prof. Mohamed Nabil Sabry, Vice Chairman of the Board, and Prof. Mohamed Abdel Hay Ahmed, Director of the Center, along with board members Prof. Diaa Khalil, Prof. Saad El-Sayed Hassan, Prof. Ashraf Bakry Abdo, Prof. Tamer Abdallah Sharaf, Prof. Sahar Mohamed Omar, Prof. Rania Aziz, and Dr. Mohamed Rashad, the external board member.

Prof. Amany Osama Kamel opened the meeting by welcoming the board members and emphasizing the importance of continuing efforts to develop the Center in a manner that supports the research and innovation system at Ain Shams University and strengthens the Center’s position as one of the specialized research centers in the field of nanotechnology.

The meeting witnessed discussions on several organizational and technical topics, including the assignment of some employees to work at the Center to ensure the optimal operation of devices and laboratories, in addition to reviewing the latest developments regarding infrastructure works and the completion of equipment installation inside laboratories and specially prepared rooms according to the required technical standards.

The Board also discussed the executive status of supplying and installing new equipment, as well as mechanisms for completing operational and preparation works, contributing to the rapid activation of the research and laboratory services provided to researchers.

In the same context, board members discussed the importance of preparing new technical cadres capable of working inside the Center’s laboratories to ensure the sustainability of research and service activities, as well as training and qualifying young professionals to support the Center’s operational system in the coming years.
