The Cultural Salon at Ain Shams University, titled "A Tale of Victory... From Crossing to Liberation," was launched as part of the strategic cooperation protocol between the Ministry of Higher Education and the Public Prosecution

As part of the cultural salon season launched by His Excellency Counselor Mohamed Shawky, Attorney General, and His Excellency Prof. Abdel Aziz Qansouh, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, and His Excellency Counselor Ali Mokhtar, Head of the Court of Appeals and Executive Director of the Criminal Research and Training Institute for the Public Prosecution, inaugurated the cultural salon organized by the Education and Student Affairs Sector at Ain Shams University, represented by the "Students for Egypt" family and the University Student Union, in cooperation with the Criminal Research and Training Institute for the Public Prosecution, under the title: "A Tale of Victory… From Crossing to Liberation."

This took place in the presence of Prof. Rami Maher Ghali, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Yassin El Shazly, Dean of the Faculty of Law, a number of faculty staff, Mr. Ibrahim Saeed Hamza, Assistant Secretary of the University for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Samar Ragab, General Coordinator of the "Students for Egypt" family at the University, in addition to a select group of experts and specialists in the military, legal, and strategic fields.

The cultural salon was held within the framework of the strategic cooperation protocol between the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Public Prosecution, and in the context of full cooperation and coordination between Ain Shams University and the Institute of Criminal Research and Training for the Public Prosecution. This initiative implements the protocol's objectives and embodies an advanced model of institutional integration between justice and education institutions, contributing to the development of a conscious national character capable of confronting challenges and supporting the path of development and stability.

The meeting featured a distinguished group of experts and specialists: Major General Dr. Mahmoud Mohamed Talha, military and strategic expert at the Military Academy for Graduate and Strategic Studies and former Director of the Command and Staff College; Brigadier General Dr. Ahmed El-Metwally, military expert at the Egyptian Military Academy; Prof. Ibrahim El-Anani, Professor of Public International Law and former Dean of the Faculty of Law at Ain Shams University; and Prof. Nourhan El-Sheikh, Member of the Senate and Professor of International Relations at Cairo University.

In his opening remarks, Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, emphasized that discussing the October victory and the liberation of Sinai is not merely about recalling glorious chapters in the nation's history, but rather about invoking the values ​​of willpower, knowledge, planning, and belonging—values ​​that forged the miracle of the crossing and demonstrated the Egyptian people's ability to achieve the impossible when they believe in their homeland.

The university president explained that Egypt has proven throughout its history that the strength of nations is not measured solely by their resources, but also by their genuine national consciousness and their capacity to protect their identity, safeguard the state, and confront challenges. He pointed to the importance of cultural forums in creating spaces for informed dialogue, connecting young people with their national history, and enhancing their ability to distinguish between truth and rumor, and between constructive and destructive actions.

He added that Ain Shams University believes the battle for awareness is no less important than the battles to defend the land, and that building enlightened minds represents the first line of defense for the nation. Therefore, the university is keen to organize intellectual and cultural activities that contribute to shaping the character of the conscious Egyptian student, capable of critical thinking and positive participation in building the new republic.

He also expressed the university's pride in its fruitful cooperation with national state institutions, foremost among them the Public Prosecution, which enhances the dissemination of legal and national culture and provides students with genuine opportunities to engage with inspiring national experiences and expertise.

The university president addressed the students, emphasizing that preserving the homeland is not achieved solely through military means, but also through intellectual pursuits, knowledge, awareness, and a sense of belonging. He stressed that university students are the true hope for the nation's future and are capable of continuing the journey of building and development.

In closing, he expressed his gratitude to all those involved in organizing the cultural salon, as well as to the participants and attendees, expressing his hope that these events would serve as a genuine platform for strengthening national awareness and instilling values ​​of belonging and responsibility among Egyptian university students.

Counselor Ali Mokhtar, Head of the Appeals Court and Executive Director of the Criminal Research and Training Institute for the Public Prosecution, began his speech by emphasizing his pride in Ain Shams University, this prestigious academic institution that represents a beacon of thought and intellectual development. He praised the university's national and enlightening role in instilling national awareness in new generations.

He affirmed that recalling the epic of crossing and liberation is not merely about invoking past glories, but rather about drawing inspiration from the values ​​of will, action, and sacrifice, which proved that Egypt was and will remain capable of overcoming challenges and conquering the impossible. He pointed out that the October victory was not just a military battle, but a comprehensive national epic that embodied the strength of the Egyptian state and the unity of its will.

Advisor Ali Mukhtar explained that the Egyptian state faced difficult times, but the ingenuity of the Egyptian character shone through in rebuilding the armed forces and preparing the Egyptian fighter on the foundations of science, planning, and discipline, until the great crossing was achieved and the myth of the invincible army was shattered, raising the banners of pride over the land of Sinai.

He also praised the patriotic role of the Egyptian people, who formed a solid home front that supported the armed forces in the liberation battle, emphasizing that the unity of the Egyptians was one of the most important reasons for the victory.

He pointed out that the Egyptian state continued its struggle to reclaim its rights through wise diplomacy and negotiations based on the strength of its position and the justness of its cause, culminating in the return of Taba through international arbitration. This model reflects the integrated roles of military power, science, and law in protecting the homeland and preserving its resources.

The Head of the Appeals Court and Executive Director of the Criminal Research and Training Institute for the Public Prosecution addressed the students, emphasizing that this national epic should be a source of inspiration for new generations. He called upon them to continue this "new journey" towards science, innovation, and development, contributing to consolidating Egypt's position among leading nations. He concluded his remarks with a prayer that God protect Egypt and its people and grant them continued security, stability, and prosperity.

During the session, chaired by Counselor Ali Mukhtar, Head of the Appeals Court and Executive Director of the Criminal Research and Training Institute for the Public Prosecution, participants emphasized the importance of drawing lessons from the glorious October War in consolidating values ​​of belonging and national awareness. They stressed the need to enhance awareness of current challenges and link national memory to issues of national security and development.

The meeting included a screening of a documentary about the Criminal Research and Training Institute, which reviewed the institute's establishment and its role in training members of the Public Prosecution, law students, and judicial officers, thereby supporting the justice system and raising legal and professional competence.

At the conclusion of the events, the speakers at the session were honored in recognition of their scientific and national contributions.
