In celebration of the start of the new academic year, the Education and Student Affairs Sector at Ain Shams University is organizing a festival to receive new and old students for the new academic year 2019/2020 under the auspices of Prof. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of the University. The festival will be held from 21 September to 8 October under the slogan "Able to do it", based on the development and achievement witnessed by the education sector and students during the past period, especially the university cities sector "students" from the development and renovation of accommodation rooms, halls, stadiums and restaurant, nutrition systems as well as providing excellent medical services.
The opening ceremony of the festival will be held on Saturday 21st September at 10:00 am at the main campus in front of Al-Zafaran Palace.
The opening ceremony includes a number of sports and artistic activities, including a queue of the university's mobile tour accompanied by brass music, a bicycle marathon, a choir of the university choir and a number of sports competitions in various games such as "table tennis, speedball, arm wrestling, sprinting and tug of war."
During the first three days of the festival, exhibitions of the activities of the University Students' Union will be held, including an exhibition to introduce the family to Central Egypt, the activities of the Union, simulation models, an exhibition against the addiction fund, an exhibition of plastic arts, handicrafts and some student inventions.
The festival will also witness a number of distinguished theatrical performances of university students and a number of educational seminars.
